Be sensible outdoors, respect land and people, submit honest evidence, control what you share and never take a risk for an in-app reward. Read the full terms below.
1. The service
Peak Quest helps people discover trig points, plan outings, record visits, build collections and participate in optional community, challenge and ranking features. Catalogue, access and community information can be incomplete or change after publication.
The app is a planning and record-keeping aid. It is not an emergency service, rescue beacon, definitive navigation system, proof of a legal right of access or a substitute for suitable maps, forecasts, training and judgement.
2. Accounts and eligibility
Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in method and tell us promptly about suspected misuse. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless the circumstances show otherwise.
Age requirements and any guardian consent are shown in the applicable store and onboarding flow. Do not create an account if you cannot legally agree to these terms where you live.
3. Responsible field use
You remain responsible for route choice, conditions, access, equipment, transport and the abilities of your group. Respect closures, landowners, livestock, habitats, historic structures and other people.
Never trespass, drive or move recklessly, damage a trig point, fabricate evidence or take a risk for a badge, streak, rank, club or timed challenge. Stop using the app when attention to the device would be unsafe.
4. Community rules
Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, discriminate, spam, manipulate rankings, coordinate unsafe activity, publish another person’s private location, or upload unlawful, exploitative or infringing material.
Use visibility, block, mute and reporting tools honestly. Club owners and moderators have responsibilities to their members but do not replace Peak Quest moderation. We may restrict features, remove content, exclude disputed scores or suspend accounts proportionately, with an appeal path where appropriate.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of content you create. You give Peak Quest the limited permission needed to store, process, resize, moderate and display it according to your choices, and to make user-requested share cards. This permission ends when the content is deleted, subject to backups, legal retention and content already lawfully shared by others.
Only upload content you have the right to use. Fresh proof photos are used for visit integrity; unnecessary metadata is removed from ordinary display.
6. Visit and ranking integrity
A submitted visit may be verified, accepted with low accuracy, held for review or rejected. Automated checks support rather than eliminate human review. Duplicate, replayed, manipulated or implausible evidence can be investigated.
Only eligible visits count in leaderboards and dependent achievements. Removing or reinstating a disputed visit updates its score once. You may opt out of rankings without losing your historic collection.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Peak Quest available and accurate but do not promise uninterrupted access, exact catalogue completeness, permanent third-party integrations or a particular achievement or leaderboard position.
We may change features, rules and catalogue versions to improve safety, legality, integrity or operation. Material changes that affect existing rights or paid value are explained appropriately.
9. Responsibility and limits
Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights.
Within the law, Peak Quest is not responsible for losses caused by ignoring safety guidance, unlawful access, reliance on changing third-party or community information, or circumstances outside reasonable control. Any other limit applies only to the extent fair and enforceable where you live.
10. Ending use and contact
You may stop using Peak Quest, export data and request account deletion. We may restrict or end access for serious or repeated breaches, legal necessity, security or service closure, with proportionate notice and appeal where appropriate.
Use Peak Quest support for questions or complaints. Governing-law and dispute information applicable to the responsible operator is identified in the live store listing; mandatory local consumer protections continue to apply.
